Maximum age in the military before forced retirement?
Admiral Dewey was still in the military at age 78,but that was in 1917,Is there a maximum age nowdays? I'm about to go into the military,is it possible for me to spend at least 70 years in(I'm 18 now).

- Depends on your rank/job. Suspect fighting combat soldiers who havent made it to officer is 45 ish
- Yes is possible and depends mostly on you.
- When I was in we had an E-7 age 58 but this was back in 1974. I say one could be there for at least 40 years. Good luck.
