  2. OK, start of small. Any loose change you have left or small change put it in a jar or piggy bank and you will see that in a month it will start to build up and then once you realise the value for saving you can start saving bigger bucks, good luck.
  3. when you get your allowance just separate it in half's.. one half for spending and the other for saving.
  4. Ask your parents to help you set up a savings account. If you deposit a set amount of money every week or month or whenever, you won't see it and therefore can't spend it. It will add up plus get interest (free money) for when you do want or need it. In addition to your allowance, look into other ways to earn money even if you can't work for an employer because of your age. There are things you CAN do. Check out your library for books like "Fast Cash for Kids" by Bonnie & Noel Drew. Earning $5 for washing windows here and there for neighbors plus $2 for selling an old pair of jeans you don't wear can add up nicely as the weeks, months and years go by. I am not saying not to enjoy yourself but spend your money on what you really get value from.
  5. the thing is, with 14 years of no allowance, there are some ways to get money really quick my favorite method is saving up my lunch money. every week, my mom gives me 20 bucks a week for lunch. i simply put it in my piggy bank. it doesnt matter for me cause i never eat lunch anyway. after about 4 months, i had 250 bucks, enough to buy an ipod touch, which i did. secretly of course, right under my parents nose. then i started over. another method is saving spare change. get all the spare change u can get ur hands on, then put it in a piggy bank, and about 8 months it will add up to around 50 bucks. i used to only do this, but i needed another source of money.
