How can a you save money?

1. Living in NY its damn near impossible. Living anywhere else, if you can't save then you dont know what you're doing.
2. Buy only what you need.

In order of how much you'll save: Move to a cheaper place to live Get roommates Sell your car or don't buy one Cook all your meals at home Don't buy anything unless you need to replace something that is broken or worn out Set your thermostat at 64 degrees Put weather stripping around your door to keep the heat in Don't buy any drinks, just drink tap water Buy clothes at a thrift store Don't have kids or pets!

5. I've started saving money by drafting a budget and sticking with it. First, I assessed each monthly bill I have and scheduling the due date to coincide with my pay period. Once I had my bills evenly distributed throughout the month, I was able to get a better handle on my finances. Each pay period, I draft a budget listing out what's due for payment. After I take care of my financial obligations I put away the biggest chunk of money I can in my savings. The rest of the money, usually less than $100, is mine for whatever I need for that two weeks until next pay period. My budget works for me, but it is very strict. I've been able to follow it successfully for several weeks now. It's reassuring knowing that I have a bit of a cushion in my savings account should any unexpected expenses pop up; I don't have to rely on credit cards.
6. Ok the best way to save money. First you must have a plan, You can NEVER save money if you just wing it, know how much you need to spend on things monthly such as bills,food,transportation etc. than you see how much money you have to spend. now everyone wants to enjoy them self so you must have some type of spare cash around for fun. than once you see how much is left, it doesnt matter if its just 100 bucks or a couple hundred put that place somewhere safe like possibly a savings account, but what i do is i have friend i can trust who will put it away for me and NO MATTER how much i want to spend it my friend never lets me near it! doing this over the course of a year i bought a brand new 2008 Dodge Charger!
