What is the cutoff date for people to send out tax info?
I had a retirement 401k through Reliastar/ING. I have emailed our plan administrator to ask about tax info, but got no response. What is the last date that businesses have to send you the necessary info in order to file your taxes?

- Employers have until January 31 to mail W2's - I would assume it would be the same for them.
- I assume that you took money out from the 401K. If that is the case, then you should get a distribution form by January 31st, 2009. All tax information must be postmarked January 31st, 2009. Depending on where you are and when the info is sent, you could receive it up to a week later. Hope this helps!
