how does a company save money by cutting vacation hours.?

Current company changed vacation policy from 200 max accrued hours to 100 max accrued for all new hires.

1. Accrued vacation is an expense to the company. By cutting hours, they have reduced their expenses.
2. By Eleminating longer vacations the company hopes to cut the length of vacations inorder to not have to hire temporary help to get through the 5 weeks off you would have from taking 200 hours in a row
