  1. Good old fashioned newspaper. Do some layers of full sheets then a few layers of shredded sheets.
  2. Put layers of flat newspaper down. Then spread timothy hay all over it. Your piggy eats it anyway and it makes great bedding.
  3. layers of newspaper because they will shred it themselves. totally inexpensive and most healthiest for them. okay so i just had to edit mine because i saw someone who said that the ink is toxic. It is only toxic if you use just random pieces of paper (like printer paper). Newspaper is the best thing to use which is why so many people are suggesting it, obviously.
  4. you could use grass or news paper
  5. No, don't listen to the people who say newspaper. I'm a hamster owner, and if you use newspaper for their bedding, then they can eat the ink and get internally hurt. And I know hamsters aren't the same thing as guinea pigs, but they're both rodents, and they both enjoy chewing stuff. So I suggest using aspen shavings. They're the best bedding besides carefresh. It's not as expensive, and it doesn't cause respiratory problems like pine and cedar shavings.
  6. Newspaper doesnt make them ill ¬_¬ it's not real ink its usually vegetable.. colouring stuff ( wow I sound clever *cough* ) anyway... newspaper is fine... though it gets damp pretty easy and doesnt soak much up so you may have to change where they pee and poop every day or 2.
  7. newspaper is ok.. Good to chew on, crawl under, play tug-of-war with. Make sure there are no staples. Most newspaper is made with soy-based dyes which are safe for the pigs. Check with your newspaper company if you are not sure.
  8. no newspaper, the ink is toxic. shred some paper towels, and use that.
  9. You can buy warm bedding for like £1 at wilkinsons for a little bag that will last like 3 weeks so i would buy that, it is also safe if they eat some to try it.
