- $20.00
- btwn 200-300/month. I spend around 6-700/month. its apian but so worth it!
- None. It is cheaper to not use them. The coupon makes you buy two of something to save money on the 2nd item. Well, I only need the one of something in the 1st place. So you see, I save money right there. But, if there is a buy one get one free, I clip the damn coupon!!!! See ladies? - we guys can shop smart.
- I save about $125-200 per month. You have to plan it out though. Watch and see what specials your local stores have and try to combine their specials with your coupons. It helps when you can buy a little extra for example one week I might buy 5 bottles of laundry detergent if I have a coupon with a good price. So that week I might spend $10.00 more than I wanted to, but I won't have to buy detergent for at least a month and half and I got $50.00 worth of detergent for $13.00. You don't have to do it that way, but when you look at the long term it is worth it!
- i don't clip coupons b/c rarely do i find things that i normally buy...like my staple foods. All the coupons i find are for stuff that i would normally not buy...so in fact i'm wasting money on products that are uselss to me. I don't buy a lot of processed foods...and the coupons that i do find that i can use for household cleaners and such really don't save me a lot of money when you look at the grand sceem of things. So i stopped clipping b/c i found that i was actually spending more money than i should b/c i felt I should buy it since i had a coupon. It's all marketing pschology. This is how companies get you buy their products. I betcha you'll save more money by just shopping the store specials rather than coupon clipping. Like for instance where i live Pick-n-save / Jewel Osco alwasy has a 10/10 specials. I will usually get some of the stuff i need like pasta and rice and those sorts of items on the 10/10...they last me a longtime AND they don't go bad.
- Not much at all, when I did clip coupons. I would save $2-3.00 per trip to the grocery store at best (maybe $8-10 a month). You always have to buy certain brands of foods in certain quantities (and the items have to be in certain sizes). Inevitably, the store would be out of the very specific size/brand/variety I needed to use the coupon, or I would get up to the counter without reading some fine print and not get my discount. So, I often clipped a bunch of coupons and brought them along for nothing and saved no money at all. I've found that just buying off-brand items saves as much money as coupons do, since they are usually for name-brand items. Also, it cost me $1.75 a week to buy the Sunday paper. So, I found it just wasn't worth my time.
- Well, it depends. One day I found a bunch of coupons in-store and saved $13 in one visit. Although, I bought things that I would not normally, it was still eaten. Lately, I have been trying to buy only when on sale. Here last week Campbells chunky soup was on sale for $1.00 so I bought about 8 of them. That was less then half price. My husbands shaving cream was on for buy one get one free, so I got 4. Mr. Noodles was on for 5 for a $1.00. I will only buy the meat on sale. I have been REALLY watching sales for the last few weeks and find it is helping. I am feeding 6 people and it is costing me a fortune!!! p.s. every penny helps (I think!)
