Any game ideas for kindergarten that teaches colors?

Im trying to teach kindergartners colors and mixing them makes more colors. Anyone have any ideas on a game that they can play that would reinforce the lesson? these are great...but is there anything that isnt so messy?

  1. Painting is a fun activity! This way they can explore the different colors by themselves, as well :)
  2. How about dying easter eggs? Its good for the season and you can color the eggs one color then dunk them in another and BAM another color appears.Or food color and some sort of drink or food. Have fun.
  3. I made up Color Bingo. I was nervous it wasn't going to work because everyone was really just learning the colors, but I would hold up the color square and say the color out loud. They would then match it on their board and repeat the color. I then had color M&M's as prizes. Worked really well. I once brought in already made cupcakes and allowed them to put different color icing on themselves...this one got really messy..but they had a blast!
  4. Color Search: Look for a certain color of objects in a room. Fishing: Have your child fish for a certain color of paper fish, using paper clips on the fish and a pole with a magnet on the end. Color Toss: Have your child toss a bean bag at color squares and try to land on a color that you call out to them. Or color bingo like one person said.
  5. i would play i spy. say a color and ask the kids to find that color in the room. no mess:)) also have a color of the week. lets say it is green. make grass play with beads and so on. each week pick a color in a few moths they will know allot of the colors
