What are creative ideas for a card for my friend who is turning 16?

I'm giving her a monetary gift, so what's are some good ideas to make the card personal and creative?

1. Fold a stiff peice of paper like you are making a normal card then, Cut out the numbers 16 but keep them linked together so the thing doesnt fall apart. On the outside, glue on some pictures of her with you and her friends, or some googled pictures of some things that she likes. on the inside write how much she is a good friend and how awesome she is :)
2. If you are real close friends a hand made card expresses how much you care verses a purchased one. Craft stores have demos. There are also craft websites if you google them.
