Is the world economic mess aimed at the baby boomers?
As we reach the age when a lot of the baby boomers are set to retire, and also set to start taking back some of the dollars we had invested, have the banks kicked the bucket from under us. Or maybe a coincidence?

- Ever read Animal House? Enough said! By the way, the banks are not totally to blame for the situation we are in. Government had a hand, greedy people had a hand, it is a big mess, with no particular evil being, even home owners who knew they could not afford the home, are using the system. A woman was crying the other day, she was being kicked out of her home. She said she had not paid her mortgage for a year! So she lived rent free, mortgage free for a year, and she is COMPLAINING! I bet she has not paid the taxes either, or the insurance, or the electric bill, etc. Go cry on someone else's shoulder.
- I wouldn't blame the banks, I would blame your generation. The dollars you invested didn't actually exist because your generation thought was a great idea to have a society funded by debt based on infinite multiples! It is just unfortunate that the mess has surfaced before you get a chance to die and leave us with the mess!! Baby boomers in the West have had the easiest time in the history of humanity. You grew up in a world of social reforms and great economic and technological developments. You bought a house and the prices always went up. You used the worlds resources practically to extinction and future generations are going to have to pick up the pieces of that. The seeds of this banking crisis were sown when your generation decided Milton Friedman was God and capitalism was the way forward. Now the next generation will have to pay for the over exhuberance in the form of ridiculously high taxes. I think it is your generation's just desserts that the money you creamed out of the system earns zero interest and then gets wiped out by hyper inflation in a few years.
