retirement oz

Is Brett Favre really retiring or playing head games again?

If he does retire, where does Favre rank among the all time great qb's ?

  1. old man's social security number is his jersey# 4 and I think he felt it this year. Favre is arguably a top 10 QB I think some people would push him into the top 5. I do think he is one of the most dynamic QB's of our time
  2. He is really retiring he told the organization president that he was done and doesn't have the intention for the game anymore. His news conference should be sometime this week to call it quits publically. I think he rank 1 at all quaterbacks. He has the most yards and touchdowns and consecutive games. All beating Dan Marino so I think he is the best now. Good question man
  3. he's a stat hound dbag
  4. You mean mind games.
  5. At this point, who knows. We won't know for sure until training camp is over with. It is possible he could force the Jets into unconditionally releasing him...freeing him up to sign with the Vikings. Would he do this? Hell, he Brett F'n Favre, he just might. Hope not.
  6. he's definitely retired for real this time .. it would be ludicrous for him to fake retired twice .. but as for him being among the top QBs.. i'd rank him #5.. and im talking purely him not the supporting cast 1- Marino 2-Montana 3-Manning 4-Unitus 5-Favre
  7. If he does retire he makes the top 50. (Before anyone complains that is to low, remember the NFL goes back to 1922. Which HOF player do you cut to move him up?:))
  8. he'll be back
  9. Who knows what the guy is thinking... After last year, he's pretty much lost credibility with anything he says. My guess is he's done. We'll probably see him on one of the network pregame shows. But at this point, it's a guess as to what he'll do next. If he's done, he'll be mentioned as a top 10 QB. After he's elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the legend will grow over time and he'll probably end up being considered a top 5.
  10. Personally I think he'll retire because Favre embarassed himself by playing so poorly in the Jets playoff run. Brett Favre has always had a penchant for throwing ill-advised passes and I believe that was the reason the Packers let him go. He won games for the Jets but his erratic playing and poor decision making also cost the Jets some games. In terms of where he ranks among the best qb's to have played, I'd rank Farve well below the top 10 qb's ! Montana, Elway, Marino, Unitas, Staubach, Starr, Namath etc etc all rank ahead of Favre in my opinion !
