How can i get money and save?

i'm 16 and have looked for a job everywhere, but nobody is taking on. i have recenlty ebayed a few things hopefully to get abit of money. i might try asking my parents for allowence or something. i also like to paint, so i might do some paintings at home and try and sell them? another good ideas of how to get money? thanks?
