If you dont pay your traffic ticket on time and you wait to save money......?

Lets say your saving money to pay it off....its a REALLLY big ticket... how much trouble can you get into...possible to just lay low then pay it off?

1. If you contact the court, they will probably allow you to make payments over time. If you don't contact them, and the due date passes, they may issue a warrant for your arrest, or suspend your license for failure to pay. A warrant will result in additional court costs, and getting stopped with a suspended license will lead to more tickets.
2. well if you dont pay your ticket you will be issued a bench warrent and go to jail. Go to court and ask for more time to pay it and show them why you cant pay it and what your doing to try to pay it
3. Failure to appear is a separate crime, punishable by 6 months in jail in my state. Contempt of court is also a separate crime
