- well change the lights to efficient lights, turn them off when you're finished, if you don't need some lights turn them off, or try change the windows, some windows lose a lot of heat/cold air in the building/house... try using energy efficient electronics, like a computer screen, to refridgerator...etc. those tend to save money. ^_^ hope you liked my suggestions.
- Only buy food you actually eat, stop having people over for dinner so often and eat out less, cook in big quantities and freeze some to be used at a later date. Consider whether you really need something for a day or two before you order it or buy it. Stop driving so much and take advantage of public transport. Save power by turning lights, standby etc. off, don't have long steamy showers, wrap up rather than turning the heating up. It's all common sense really.
- Always take a packed lunch to work. Walk longer distances to pay a smaller fare, or better still, cycle if you have a bike. Don't buy newspapers or magazines - read online or read the paper provided at work. Eat smaller portions. Don't smoke or drink. Buy secondhand clothes. And most importantly... save before you spend. That is, every time you get paid, put aside at least $20, before you even breathe. If you can do more, it's even better. If you don't put it away immediately, it will get spent. Good luck.
- This is what I do - 1. Don't buy any daily newspapers, watch the news on tv instead. 2. Always make and take own lunch to work. 3. Check the reduced chiller section in the supermarket and freeze food to eat at a later date.
- Learning to cut corners isn't the only thing you have to do. Saving money is a discipline that is hard to learn. If you only save $10 to $20 weekly - that's a great start. If your employer will pay roll deduct it would be the absolute best way. That way - you never have it to begin with. Hence, you won't miss it. Once you accumulate a good start of money in your savings - you will be more dedicated to add to it & watch it grow. I believe you will find that watching that growth by even $20 is more pleasing than dinner & a movie. The other suggestions are on tract as well - cut back here & there. Also, carry bigger bills. It's harder to break a $50 bill for a pack of gum than it is a $1 bill. Good luck to you.
- firstly, you can change your current job to your province one. Moreover you can find another job like part-time. A frictional job may help you but i am not sure. You can do that bud
- You should try out this fun site called cashcrate. You basically can complete surveys and other free offers to make a little bit of extra cash. If you really do a lot, it's possible to make hundreds a month. They also have quite a few competitions that give out bonus prizes (usually extra money, although they have offered things like the Nintendo Wii). Anyway, give it a shot, you might like it:
- I have gone from working full time at a good job to being a mother so I have had to save money every which way. What works: Going back to cash, sad but true, if you draw out your budget for the week in cash and leave your debit and credit card at home you can only spend what you have with you - I've on impulse buys that I would have made, if two or three days later I want the item I may go back but more often than not I've forgotten about it. Driving to social things instead of drinking and taking taxis - I don't need a drink to have a good evening anyway. Sounds boring, but I don't have the money so it's either that or not go out at all. Cook from fresh Make your own packed lunch Avoid Starbucks and Costa Coffee and bottled water Turn off lights, put on an extra jumper Buy weights and work out at home Cycle to work Go to parents for dinner at the end of the month when skint
- Try spend as little on pointless items as possible. Always ask yourself do I really need this? If you can reduce your rent, move somewhere where its cheaper. Cut back on electricity by doing laundry at night, keep yourself occupied by doing cheap things, going for walks etc, it will keep you mind off eating and spending.
