How can i save up some money to buy an ipod touch <please help>?

Any tips on saving up money would be usefull.

1. Try getting a job. Mow some lawns. Sell things.
2. if you get pocket money, spend the minimum aamount you need. like instead of going out with your friends. invite them in. walk instead of using the bus or a taxi or even bike to places it'll keep you fit too :) money wise id only buy things you NEED. like if you get invited to a party. borrow clothes from a friend, even your mum or grandma willl have vintage stuff which is really in right now. ipod touch's are expesnive think when i get it how often will i use it? whys it better than a normal i pod? could i manage with a normal one? just think soon enoguh theyll bring a new one out so save save and save so when the new ones out you can be the first to get it. or :) get it for a birtday present :)

Saving money for any purchase is kind of hard when you are at $0 saved and $300 to go (or however much) Start with your expenses... right down (or put in microsoft excel) a list of all the things that you have to spend money on... do you have bills? and break it down to monthly or weekly. Then make a list of your sources of income. I have a sneaky suspicion this might be a short list... it is for most people. If you have some income, then every time you get paid have a set amount that you will put aside for your iTouch. If you get the urge to use that money sit down and think of how much you want it... you can download free games, if you have wireless at your home you can read e-mail from the kitcehn/living room/bathroom/in bed, you can store pictures of friends on it, you can get movies on it, you can feed your adiction to youtube videos... and it plays music too! If you don't have income, then you'll have to save any money you get as gifts or from odd jobs... You can also sell some of your old stuff on craigslist.org (you won't get a ton of money for it, but its a start!) Good luck
