What ever happened to basketball star Kerry Kittles and why did he retire so early?

The basketball player Kerry Kittles who used to play for the New Jersey Nets with Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson, Jayson Williams, and Keith Van Horn. Kerry Kittles was the shooting guard, what happened to him and why did he stop playing a few years back?

5. I loved Kerry Kittles and I remember his NBA Live 03 jumper that had a TON of arc on the shot. lol In seriousness, the Nets dealt him to the Clippers after seven seasons in New Jersey. After that, he retired after he never really rebounded from a knee surgery. He is now a part time scout for the Nets.
