How can save money to buy a car?
for next spring or even fall of 2010 I really want to get a mini-cooper convertible it doesn't have to be brand new (parents can't really chip in) but I really hate relying on my parents and I'm constantly late. Now I have a summer job that currently pays 8.15 I get paid every 2 weeks with roughly 50 hours. During the school year I'm pretty much slammed for time (private school workload and a ton of extracurricular activities). A car would make things easier. Open to all legal suggestions :-)

- piggy bank
- Open a savings account. Reduce your spendings.
- get a job and put $$$ in the bank
- buy a cheap car
- don't spend it? haha
- If you're going to have payments when you buy the car, consider making those payments to yourself right now. Each month, deposit the amount of the car payment you can afford into a savings account. This way you'll be in the habit of making the payment, but you'll be earning interest (okay, a little interest) on your money, and you end up with your downpayment.
- ok here is what you need to do. You need to pick an amount out of evert paycheck so keeplike to 2 accouns so you canput your car money sepretley next sell stuff maby old cloths shoes jewerly anythig. save pocket change yea sound sill but you never know next spring is a while a way
- 1. Since you have a lot of time in the summer, you could get a second job as well. It would be a lot of work, but only for a little while 2. Sell stuff you don't use anymore on craigslist/yard sale/etc. 3. Babysitting or odd jobs for people around your neighbor hood. No set schedule or time comittment so you can work it around your school and extracurriculars. 4. Cut down on fun expenses like eating out or buying clothes
- Continue to work during summer and during the school year get a part time job.
- If you want to buy a car.. Every dollar you make put into a savings acct. Leave yourself with $30.00 to spend for the two weeks. This is what I did when I was younger. My mom couldn't buy me a car. My first car was a honda civic.. I put $4000.00 down and took out a loan of $6000.00 for 5 years.. monthly payment was $135.00 a month... That wasn't to bad ( I bought the car when I was 17) my mom took the loan out in her name. I knew how much I got paid each week so I would divide the car payment and insurance by 4 weeks and that was how much I put to the side to make my payments, the rest of my paycheck was spend and I still was able to put money in the savings acct. Hope this helps... This is what I did. I started to save money when I was 14, it took me 4 years to get to the $4000.00, but that's ok...
- part time job uh i dont know join the army
