How to save money on your vacation without sacrifing the fun?

1. Take a vacation closer to home.
2. My favorite is panhanding the first day. Most people spend half their money in the first 24 hours. To combat that, I normally panhandle money from locals so that I end up the opposite way. Then I like to have my soup kitchens lined up in advance. Usually I program in free meal addresses in advance of my trip into my GPS, in the comfort of my own home. Then I look for scalpers to get theme park tickets. Call me paranoid, but I insist up using something secure like Craigslist for tickets. None of those things will sacrifice any fun. In fact these are all fun things to do in themselves. You may prefer to practice in your home town, anytime before you go. Congrad's on springing for the vaca'!!!
