  1. two words: Stop spending
  2. Spend less than you earn.
  3. make more!cashcrate.com/533675 http://cashcrate.com/533675
  4. Pay your savings account first. First you need income if you are too young to do work you might have to depend on Birthday and Christmas gift of cash or an allowance. Once you have some money send it to your savings account where you can't easily access it. If you decide to take money earmarked for your goal you know you are putting off your goal taking it. This works if you are saving allowance or from a job. When you want something like the down payment on a house and are sending a huge amount to savings each month it will take years to reach your goal. If you buy anything at all it will be even longer.
  5. Determine which expenses you can eliminate without affecting your quality of life. You can use money management site moneyStrands to track your expenses and savings anywhere, anytime from one place. You can get the picture of where is your money going and is there a way to eliminate some expenses and save money to reach your goals.
  6. Pay yourself first with a good amount going into savings every month. Cut back on large car payments, wasteful groceries/eating out, turn off all lights an appliances once leaving a room and so on....Also, try to find a good deals on things that you need to buy. http://www.myphonedied.com
  7. There are a lot of things that you can do to save money. 1. If you have any credit cards, CUT THEM UP!!! Credit cards can be a cash-flow management tool, but paying only the minimum will keep you in debt for years. 2. Next step: if you smoke, STOP! It's bad for your health and you can save up to $5 a day (that's if you live in Washington) and about $1,800 a year! 3. A way to gain money is to hold a garage sale. You can actually get a lot of money by doing this. :] 4. Learn handy phrases like, "Lets eat somewhere cheap." And "Shopping? Blegh. Let's go for a bike ride." Its less embarrassing than you'd think, because more people are in your shoes than you think -- and they'll be grateful you spoke up. 5. Become a vegetarian. If you do 3 meatless days a week (without substituting pricey fish), you could save $25 a week, which equals $100 a week and $1,200 a year! 6. Don't go out to eat as much. 'Nuff said. 7. Make your own coffee. 8. Do your grocery shopping while you're in a hurry. If you're in a hurry, then you'll be in-and-out very quickly with very little time to buy little things that you don't really need. 9. Disconnect your landline phone if possible. Unless you have someone at home w/ out a mobile phone, of course. 10. If you aren't using a lamp or something that needs to be plugged into the wall, unplug them! Even if they're off, it still uses the electricity.
  8. * Shop at thrift or discount stores. Branded household items and designer clothes are nice, but you can save a lot of money if you buy discount items at thrift stores. Try to buy the best possible deals at discount stores; just because the item is on sale doesn’t meant that it has to be of lower or cheaper quality. * Buy in bulk. Wholesale purchases are cheaper than retail purchases in the long run. It’s best to schedule wholesale grocery shopping once or twice a month for you to save on travel expenses and other purchases. * Get rid of unnecessary expenses. Your quality of life doesn’t have to be reduced just because you’re trying to save money, but always evaluate your shopping lists and expenses to see if you can live without one or two expensive items every now and then.
