retirement oz

What should we get our retiring band director for a going away gift?

Every year, the senior class gets our band director a gift. Sometimes they are gag gifts, other times they are thoughtful gifts. Does anyone have any idea what we could get our band director for his last year at our high school? We have about 125 dollars to spend!

  2. Maybe a band director award or something, and a picture of the last season signed by everyone with a "this is for you (insert band director name here); Always think that some of the greatest gifts are ones from the heart :)
  3. how about a plant - like a bonsai - it'll last for years and so it will remind him of those who gave it to him... http://www.bonsaiboygifts.com/
  4. Well now he has time on his hands he could probably enjoy a few leisure activities! So tickets for two to some of your local tourist attractions like the aquarium, the drive-in, the zoo, entry to a nice golf club etc would be a thought. Even if he has been already, it's still nice to spend time in those places. You can also make a personal gift to go with it, like a collage of his time at the school - consult the yearbooks and the other teachers. This is a special year for him, so you have a bigger responsibility. Then get the teachers he has worked with for so long to write something on the back of the collage. good luck!
