What must you consider before retiring from your job?

You're a married woman and you have a family. You're thinking of quitting your job, ending your career, and concentrate on something else (family). How can you know if you're making the right decision? What are the things you must carefully consider before taking the decision? By working, you earn money and it can support your family.

1. Think about the long term, think about your actual retirement age. By the time you get to about 65, which is when most people truly retire, they need to have a lot of money saved up. People live on average at least 20 years once they actually retire, so that is A LOT of money that you need to be sustainable. So the less time you work during your adult life, the less money you will have in your retirement savings in years to come.
