I am going to London in the mid July. Any tip how can I save money on air a ticket?

Is it true that prices generally rise close to the date of flight? Any particular day of the week is preferable? Last minute deals? Thanks!

1. Midweek probably is best. Mondays and weekends typically are a bit more expensive. Try using particular travel websites like expedia or travelocity. Other than that, it's sort of a crap shoot. P.S. Have fun in London!
