Is it a coincidence that the first wave of "baby-boomers" are retiring when the economy takes a dive?
Some,if they don't get laid off, will have to continue working to make up what they've lost in retirement funds. It surely is bad timing for many of them.

- You ain't seen nothing yet. Wait till the numbers of retirees bankrupt the SS system.
- Yes, it's a coincidence, and yes, it's a stone drag. I'll be working far longer than I had planned, since I've lost almost half my retirement. However, I do have hope that in the long run, my funds will recover. Edit: Chia, the SS system will not go bankrupt. It's solvent for the next 30 years, and after that there will just be a small reduction in benefits.
- It is a coincidence. Since the baby boomers would only get 70% of the benefit they would get at full retirement age, I predict most will hang on a few years.
- lol...of course....women want babies from men that can support the kids even when they break up....lol...no i'm just kidding..idk maybe it's just coincidence
- Nope, and we need managed health care where government employees manage the costs.
