  1. Just give yourself a certain amount of money to spend each week and save the rest...sorry thats all i could think of.....
  2. open an account in a bank that you find inconvenient to get to, then deposit 5% of your paycheque there in a savings account and don't get a bank card for it. Tell yourself that the money is " already spent" I saved$ 50,000 that way in a ten year period, you should be able to get $500 together that way , no problem.
  3. Open a savings account and put the money in right away and don't get an ATM card. If you can't do that ask someone in your family to save it for you. Shopping and buying is a way of feeling powerful, independent and fills some void. We are bombarded with advertisers convincing us to buy things, its what has gotten this country into such big economic trouble. Just don't buy it, you have to stop yourself, that's all. Keep your eye on the goal of saving your money and get your enjoyment by watching the account grow. You may find that after you see how long it takes to save up the $500 you may not want to spend it all on that item. We really do not need all these things.
  4. start small. Put away just 2 dollars a day to start. By the end of the month you'll have saved 60 dollars. By the end of the year you'll have more than 700 dollars.
  5. in your anus.
  6. Earn it online and keep it in a paypal account. unless you are spending online, it is easy to forget it. You could also do surveys online in your spare time. It doesn't pay enough to be considered a full time job or anything but you do collect money and cash out when you want. plus, i find it fun to do surveys. http://www.surveylion.com/fromref.php?refid=349887&invid=445872 This is my link to the site. As a bonus, if you refer friends, you get paid $5 but ONLY if they do one paid survey or try 3 (and were rejected, like for wrong age, already full...)
