How much money should I save before moving to New York?
I'm graduating college in December and plan to move to New York City by April. I want to search for a personal assistant job to allow myself some space to do freelance writing and auditioning for musical theatre. Is this realistic?

- NYC is very expensive and landing a great paying personal assistant job in nyc might be challenging. You may need to have some other realistic options and a few different type of jobs lined up to take a look at. But a decent apartment in NYC + the cost of living might be steep. If anything, try looking at apartments in the surrounding Boroughs (Brooklyn and Bronx and even Fort Lee, NJ which is right across the river from NYC) where prices might be a little better and NYC is still only a short subway ride away.
