How can I SAVE MONEY in my house? Like reducing my electricity bill and H2O bill.?

- buy appliances that use less energy.
- turn your thermostat up for you AC so it doesn't run as much... turn the water off when you brush your teeth... use cfl light bulbs wherever possible.. if you water your lawn... simply water it less..
- Turn your thermostat back in the summer and winter. Get a timed thermostat which turns it back even more while you're at work or asleep. Get those fluorescent light bulbs. Use the microwave instead of the oven, uses less energy as it heats only the food. Air dry your clothes in the summer time. Even consider doing it in the winter as you'll be adding much needed humidity in the home. Regularly clean the coils at the back or underneath your refrigerator, make it run more efficient. Take showers, not baths. Uses less water and less heated water. Plant trees south of your home, offers shade in the summer to help cool your home and helps block the wind in the winter to keep it warmer. Grow a garden, cheap food. Use ceiling fans instead of A/C as long as you can.
