Did Carlton make a mistake not drafting Daniel Rich?
Im not sure how good chris yarran will be, it may seem unfair to judge him yet, but I think carlton made a real blue not taking rich. Judd, Gibbs, Murphy, Stevens is the core of thier midfield, but by the time they will be real contenders, stevens will be 34 years old, too old, possibly retired? Imagine Judd, Gibbs, Murphy and Rich, now that would be a premier midfield, possibly 4 brownlow medalists, and would be unstoppable. Agree?

- I didn't even know they had the opportunity to get him. I thought the top two picks went to West Coast and Brisbane with West Coast choosing Natanui (probably something they'll regret) and Brissy getting Rich. Hindsight's a wonderful thing when it comes to draft choices anyway. Unless you're with the Freo Dockers! Then it's a nightmare!

- They weren't the only ones. I wouldn't call Nick Stevens a top midfielder not even close. Bryce Gibbs, Daniel Rich and Mark Murphy each are already 10 times the player Stevens ever will be and are good chances of winning a Brownlow medal one day.
- I thinks thats an unfair thing to say. Yes Rich is a ready made player... but give the other guys a bit more time and who knows. You can't judge these players as sh*t because they arn't playing AFL atm because you don't know how good they will be when they get good.

- clubs with picks 1-6 made a mistake not getting rich but brisbane were smart! yay. and the person who said that just coz rich is scoring in supercoach doesnt mean he is a good player clearly doesnt know anything, 1stly, rich hasnt actually been scoring that well. he scored 100 last week but the weeks before that he was averaging about 50. and hawthorn man frewtang: what do u mean u havent seen him play for a while. have u even watched any brisbane games? he has played every game this year! i think gibbs and rich are a chance of a brownlow - in about 5 years. not sure about murphy though.
