- 1 - Do I have the means to continue to live in the manner that I want for the rest of my life? 2 - Are my investments and sources of income 100% safe? 3 - Any plans should my funds end before my life? 4 - What am I going to do to occupy my time? 5 - How long can I continue doing this until I get bored? 6 - When all my friends are busy working and I am alone will I feel lonely? 7 - When all the initial projects I intend to take on are complete what do I intend to do? 8 - Maybe I should talk with many retired people to get their input to the above questions. Many of those who retired at age 65 are bored out of their mind and others look forward to the slower paced life after retirement. Which might I be? 9 - Of course if your 30 years old vs 55 years old the answers could be completely different. Your age will have alot to do with your decision.
- The main number one question is Will I be able to pay my bills even if a emergency occurs anyway Take Care and God Bless
- It depends upon what you mean by retire. If you mean to retire to a situation where you will have only erratic (or zero) income from employment, then "too young" means that you have a high probably of outliving your savings and investment wealth.
- I was 40 and my spouse 50. We analyzed our investments to ensure a adequate income without touching the principle. Made sure no debts, including mortgage. 10 yrs and still not touching principle.
