retirement oz

How can a person be given a full military retirement?

with only 4 years active duty and no notations of medical or other reason on the dd214 a military retired ID card has been issued to all family members . An injury did take place and 2 months in North Fork naval hospital death occurred two times causing epilepsy partial memory loss of all before injury with rib cage damaged causing a 30 Degree curvature of the spine .

  1. A diagnosis of epilepsy would most probably result in a full disability discharge.
  2. I am not a doctor, but if a person dies twice in the line of duty, that sounds like grounds for medical retirement to me.
  3. I saw a few medical disability retirements, one was for a knee injury that occurred as a result of twisting his knee while playing flag football with his division. Actually, retiring him was a benefit to the entire CS berthing as he had uncontrollable foot odor, the guy tried everything and he still had really bad foot fungus.
  4. Not retirement but 100% disability. http://www.military.com/benefits/veteran-benefits/va-compensation-tables
  5. It is a Chap 61 Medical Retirement. http://www.usdr.org/index.php?Itemid=88888921&id=35&option=com_content&task=view http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/10/usc_sup_01_10_10_A_20_II_30_61.html
