3. There are about 1 million Americans retired in Mexico. There is no place that does not have crime. Many places in Mexico are safer than many places in the United States of America. If you do decide to retire there, I would suggest that you go in with a 180 entry, travel and find the place you like first. Look in Puerta Vallarta, San Miguel de Allende, Guadalajara, Chapala, Cancun other areas that you are interested in. Please pick a "Best Answer", even if it is not mine.
