How would I enter my Retirement Distribution into a tax refund estimator?

I am still waiting on my 1099-R but I can access the amounts that were deducted from my check on my retirement website. But do I use the amount I actually received or the total amount before they took anything out? Then where do I put the money they took? Is that a witholding amount?
